The Bellarena Airfield is an unlicensed, private airfield, operated mainly for gliding activity

Glider launching by aerotow tug and glider combination and by self-launch gliders. Winch launchng is not available. The well-drained all-grass airfield is located on the Magilligan peninsula, a flat and almost treeless alluvial plain beneath cliffs that rise to 1,260 feet above sea level just 1.8 nautical miles from the Eastern boundary. It is landable from most directions, with good clear approaches to both the main longitudinal runs and cross-wind diagonals. At its widest points the field measures 546 m x 310 m, however there is an unusable portion at the beach end.
