Start' one-day course
One-day
training courses are available on Saturday or Sunday or as as mutually agreed.
The course will be on a one-to-one basis with a fully qualified B.G.A. Gliding
Instructor and will include 3 instructional flights in a two-seat dual-control
glider. The trainee will be shown how the controls work in flight and will have
a good opportunity to handle the controls under the watchful eye of the instructor.
In addition, the courses will cover ground handling of the glider together and
an introduction other topics as appropriate. Participants will receive a pilots'
log book to record their flying progress. The course will commence at 0930 hrs
and end at 1700 hrs. Meals are not included. Participants may use the clubhouse
kitchen to heat or prepare food.
Charges - £160 for adults and £110 for under 18's, full time students and people with disabilities. The price includes 3 months full membership of the club. In the event that bad weather seriously curtails or prevents course flying, a pro-rata or full refund will be made.
